The Long-Expected Return

While I suppose it was inevitable that I’d be convinced to return, it’s turned to be a mixed bag of problems from my end. I’ve so far had internet issues in general, then financial issues on top of that, then when I finally get both resolved to decide my due return date, I find that I’m further set back with my “meantime” solution. I’ll go through it all in due course, because there’s an important point that should be noticed in regards to previous posts I’ve made.

Breaking the Habit…

…of logging in and dreading the thought. Late telling you all, I know, and late actually getting around to posting about it right now, but it’s official: I have quit World of Warcraft. I won’t drag out the other blog to explain the whole story – I’ll explain all here – but the short version, for those wondering what this is still doing active, is that I need to sort my real life out and RP at the moment isn’t exactly seen as something entertaining for me anymore, which is why I RP in the first place. And as stated many times before, the game just doesn’t push all my buttons anymore. I am looking to go back in the future, hence why this is only a filler post until then, but it won’t be any time in the near future, at least.

The Old and the New

Another ramble. Don’t really know what to talk about since lately I’ve been looking for very relaxing roleplay. As it turns out, I’ve managed to get that in two ways. One way I found is by playing out a genre of roleplay I have been doing ever since the days in Furcadia: Tavern/bar RP. It is unbelievably relaxing when it’s done right. Another way that I haven’t yet had experience RPing in before now is playing gnome RP. It’s actually rather fun, just being a gnome, and being typically gnomish. And I got in a conversation with a gnome and carried it for an hour at least! That was a fun moment too.

Character Advancement (on another level).

It’s been a very long time since I talked about Livarencia Quest anywhere. A long time ago, it began as an idea, with a small continent that was carved out from two sides of a piece of A4 paper. Since then, it’s been altered into one side of A4 and one whole continent, with plans to expand that as time and story progress. There are many more things to be implemented before I can even begin putting other ideas out for the possibilities, but the fact I’ve had this idea in my head for so long must mean something…and I hope to get it out there one day.

The Little Things…

Playing WoW last night, preparing a character for this event, I was told about how you can get a chicken pet from a quest…by doing /chicken countless times until it greens up for you. I decided to be random for once and spam /chicken…sure enough, went green. Had to get chicken feed…so got it. Gave it in. Got myself a chicken pet which I am going to be using ICly for that character. Just to make her random, spontaneous and help give her reasons to be pissed off. It works for me.

All the night, I was babysitting, nephew was watching me previously stunning Gnolls before robbing them…then subsequently stabbing them with intended force. He was getting into it, even saying one of the gnolls should live since I had nicked a potion from it. Then I did a /chicken emote randomly…he laughed in such a way that you couldn’t help but laugh with him. All he kept asking for all night then was for me to do /chicken for him. So I decided to kill two birds with one stone. At least by the time the quest was done he was tired of hearing /chicken and just watched me going back to kill things.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that help bring a smile. Keep smiling, people.
